What amounts can be paid contactless?

Any amount can be paid using contactless mode.

In order to comply with the PSD2 (Payment Services Directive 2) and guarantee the safest use of your VIABUY card, we limit the number of contactless transactions before the PIN is required.

The PIN will be requested:

• After 5 consecutive contactless payments or if the accumulated amount exceeds €150 (or the equivalent in other currencies)
• For any transaction that exceeds €50 (or the equivalent in other currencies)

Note: These usage limits apply to all VIABUY customers and cannot be changed.
