The new authenticator app is required to support e-commerce transaction authentication using your smartphone's biometric capability rather than SMS. Why do I need to authenticate transactions?The authentication procedure protects you from unauthorized transactions. From time to time, you will be asked to approve online payments. You can confirm your transactions directly in the VIABUY Authenticator app using your biometrics, which adds another layer of security to your account. What will happen if I don't download the app?Without the app, you may not be able to approve certain e-commerce card payments online. I've changed phones and I can't use biometric authentication on my new phone. What can I do? At the moment, only one device can have biometric authentication enrolled. So in this case, you first need to disable the biometric authentication from your old phone and then set it up again on your new phone. To disable the biometric authentication feature, go to the Settings menu and press Logout. Please note that minimizing the app will not disable this feature. You will have to log out completely. If you don't have your old phone anymore, please get in touch with us and we'll assist you further. What if I lost my phone, what can I do? Please get in touch with us immediately and we'll assist you with disabling the biometrics feature from your phone. Can I use the biometric authentication feature on more than one phone? Unfortunately not. At the moment, only one device can have biometric authentication enrolled. We are working on the implementation of this function so that soon our customers will be able to use biometric authentication on several mobile phones. How long do I have to approve the transaction within the app? The app timer allows you 5 minutes to complete the transaction authentication. Any transaction not approved within this timeframe will be declined. My card has expired. How do I log into the app? You will have to log into the app with the new card details.
